The Company Meccanica Malavasi srl was founded in Sermide (Mantua) – hometown of melons and watermelons – in the early 1980s by Mr. Roberto Malavasi.

For more than 30 years the Company has produced machinery for the soil preparation as well as for the selection and conditioning of vegetables, especially watermelons, pumpkins and melons. Through the years the Company has developed thanks to a deep knowledge of the agricultural industry and – above all - a continuous research for innovation.

We are specialized in the customized development of machinery within every single client Company:

• we produce sizing lines for watermelons and melons, which can also be completed by FruiTatoo, an innovative system for the laser marking of vegetables, very useful for the products' traceability;
• we create patented machinery, like brushing machines for watermelons and melons with or without washing system;
• we design systems for the emptying of farm carts or heavy vehicles loaded in bulk;

Moreover, we produce machinery for the soil preparation, like bed formers, mulching machines for greenhouses or outdoor cultivations, milling machines for small tunnels.
